Why do we wear sunglasses?

• U.V. protection! I hear you girls shout.
• (Look sexy! I hear you girls think.)

• Driving! I hear you guys shout.
• (Pulling! I hear you guys think.)

There's no doubt in my mind that sunglasses are worn mainly for sex appeal. I find them attractive and other guys look good in them too!

What I can't understand is why they are so darned cool looking.

I like eyes. They are one of peoples' best features. So why should covering them up make the opposite sex look so hot?

Put on a pair of sunglasses and even average Joe or plain Jane can look like they just stepped out of a Hollywood movie. Why should that be? Who knows and who really cares. Is there a doctor (of psychology) in the house?

Is it because Hollywood stars tend to wear sunglasses.

Why do they wear sunglasses? The more sensible of us would say because they spend most of their lives in the sun. The more cynical of us will say to hide the dark circles caused by over enthusiastic use of cocaine!

...or could it be that sunglasses hide "the windows of the soul".

Maybe it's not cool to show your true feelings. Maybe we don't really want to see what the sexy person is really thinking.
